Kvyat beat Ricciardo but that wasn't his best year: "Could have been better"

Daniil Kvyat has had some noisy years in Formula 1. Once he was the new talent of Red Bull Racing, but eventually he returned to the current Scuderia AlphaTauri.
In 2015 the Russian was allowed to compete against Daniel Ricciardo in a Red Bull. That year Kvyat performed well and even collected more points over the whole season than his teammate. Either close, but three points more is three points more. Still, he doesn't see that as his best year. He discusses it in the podcast of Beyond the grid.
"I felt it was a good year but I'm never completely satisfied. I could have done better in a lot of races. Qualifying as well as in the races. In 2018 it often felt better than in 2015, I got more out of the car. That has to do with experience. If I get a chance now with a big team, things will be different".
Midfield
The Russian will discuss his team's chances for next season later in the conversation. He expects the weather to be exciting behind the three big teams. "It's hard to say who's fastest in midfield. It's very close together, just like next year. We're not a favourite for 'best-of-the-rest' but we'll be close", the driver of AlphaTauri concludes.
