- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen spoke with David Coulthard at Instagram tonight to answer questions from fans and also discussed the news of the day. The departure of Sebastian Vettel at Ferrari and of course Max Verstappen shares his view on the situation. He also jokingly points out that he doesn't plan on joining Vettel his path in any case.
Beautiful team
With the departure of Sebastian Vettel there will be room for a new driver next to Charles Leclerc as from 2021. The rumour mill had been spinning for a while and two names frequently came out of it: Daniel Ricciardo and Carlos Sainz. According to the latest rumours it will be Sainz, since he was going to sign within 48 hours.
Verstappen also expects clarity soon: "We will hear soon enough who will replace him. In any case, it's not me!" Furthermore, the Red Bull driver expects that Ferrari will make the right choice: "I mean, it's a beautiful and good team and I'm sure that they will make the right decision about their next driver".
Is there any chance for Ricciardo? Or Giovinazzi? Verstappen doesn't expect so, the Dutchman says: "It won't be the Italian name, I think. We'll see, it's some guessing at the moment."
