Schedule for first GP-weekend announced
- GPblog.com
Last Tuesday the schedule was announced for the first Grands Prix for the Formula 1 season in 2020. Today the schedule for the first weekend in Spielberg has been announced. F1 journalist Albert Fabrega announces on Twitter that the first weekend has already been announced.
Due to the fact that only a limited number of people are allowed on the circuit, it is questionable to what extent things will run differently than normal. The preliminary planning of Formula 1 looks like any other F1 weekend. On Friday are the free practice sessions for all racing classes and also the qualifications for F2 and F3.
Small change on Sunday
The Saturday also looks like a 'normal' Saturday with the races of Formula 2 and Formula 3, while Formula 1 has the last free practice and will qualify for the race on Sunday. On Sunday there will be some changes compared to the normal Sunday where the public is allowed to be present.
For example, there will now be a driver presentation instead of the tour the drivers normally do to wave to the fans. This driver presentation will take place in the pit lane. Furthermore, adjustments will be made so that everything is done at a safe distance. How specific everything will be in Spielberg, will be announced in the coming weeks.
