Albon after test with corona measures: ''Actually, not much has changed''

Alexander Albon came into action on Thursday at the Silverstone circuit with the latest RB16 from Red Bull Racing. A good moment for the relatively inexperienced driver to make some more meters before the season starts.
RB16 in action again
''It was good to be back in the car today at Silverstone for our filming day and good to shake the dust off and get back in. I haven't been in an F1 car for three months, but after five or six laps I was right back in it. All that work in the gym doesn't matter until you see it on the track," Albon says in a statement from Red Bull.
The test with the RB16 could be made as a film day for Red Bull. Teams in Formula 1 can no longer test freely, but have two days of filming at their disposal for promotional activities. That day was now used to test with the new corona measures and to give Albon some time on the track again.
Albon happy with his test
"It was a good way to see where I am with fitness and I'm happy with it. It was also great to see everyone again. I've been in regular contact with the guys on my side of the garage since Melbourne, so things haven't changed too much and it was easy to get that understanding back. It was also good for everyone to get used to the new COVID-19 protocols and it went pretty smoothly'', the Thai driver concludes.
Red Bull chose a test with Albon over a test with Max Verstappen, because the Dutchman would have to be quarantined in England. Albon, who already lives in England, doesn't have to and was therefore the logical choice. Verstappen also spoke out about the fact that according to him there isn't much to gain for a driver to test now.
