Marko furious: "What's the difference? Hamilton has completely ruined our race!"
Helmut Marko is not happy with Lewis Hamilton after the Austrian Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver knocked Alexander Albon out of the race and received a five-second penalty from the stewards. That's far too little in the eyes of Marko.
"If someone is guilty and only gets five seconds to stay in the points, then the few positions relative to what he loses are not entirely fair, I think," Marko kicks off to ORF.
On the Austrian television channel, the 77-year-old man from Graz cites a recent example. "We had a similar situation in Brazil last year. It was also about second place. Hamilton also hit Albon then," said Marko, calling the FIA, "I think this whole system should be reconsidered."
The Austrian pleads for heavier penalties in Formula 1 in case of incidents. "Yes. Whether Lewis is second or fourth, what's the difference? He has completely ruined our race," he concludes.
