Sebastian Vettel: "This is definitely not the car I drove on Friday"
Sebastian Vettel was not happy with the set-up of his Ferrari for Sunday's race. The Ferrari was struggling with the balance for 71 laps and that resulted in a spin. It was a disappointing result with the German finishing the race in P10.
"I'm glad I only spun once today. It was difficult," Vettel told Sky Sports. About his light touch with Carlos Sainz, the four-time world champion said: "It got very tight. One of the McLarens turned in and I tried to be as close to the rear as possible and then I lost the rear".
But that wasn't the only time Vettel had trouble finding the right balance. "I lost the back several times today. I'm glad it only had a big impact once. The car was very difficult to drive today. It was very entertaining in the end, but not the result we wanted."
Ferrari made the wrong choice
Since Saturday there is another front wing on the SF1000. With hindsight this didn't work out well, Vettel concludes to the German RTL. "This is definitely not the car I drove on Friday. I don't know exactly where the problem lies. We tried to find something, but now it turns out we made the wrong choice," the German concludes.
