Vettel keeps up morale after dramatic weekend: "This is my favourite track"
- GPblog.com
The Austrian Grand Prix didn't go too well for Ferrari and was downright dramatic for Sebastian Vettel. He was quite a bit slower than teammate Charles Leclerc all weekend and due to a mistake during the race he was finally only able to keep Nicholas Latifi behind him.
The four-time world champion will enter the weekend knowing that things couldn't get any worse. In any case, he has the feeling that he knows where there is room for improvement. In spite of everything he thinks the Red Bull Ring is a great track to race. He is therefore happy to race here twice this year.
Despite favourite circuit little success
"For me, that means a chance to do better than last Sunday. We will have a lot more data to work with and I think what we learned in the first race will be useful. As I've always maintained, this is one of my favourite circuits of the year, because even though it is very short, it has many beautiful curves and the Austrian mountains are a great environment".
Since the re-entry of the Red Bull Ring in 2014, Vettel has not yet won here. He's also only been on the podium twice, which was in 2017 and 2018, his top years at Ferrari.
