German medium speaks of 'even greater sensation' Thursday: Vettel news on the way?
- GPblog.com
Wednesday Fernando Alonso's return to Renault in Formula 1 was already announced, but today may be an 'even bigger announcement'. That's what a journalist from Motorsport-Total.com writes on his Twitter account.
Editor-in-chief Christian Nimmervoll says: "I'm now busy gathering information about an even bigger sensation in the Silly Season. More news will follow Thursday morning."
Contact with Red Bull
According to rumors on the Internet, it is possible that Sebastian Vettel has switched to the team of Red Bull Racing. The four-time world champion joined Servus TV (which is owned by Red Bull) last Monday as a Ferrari driver. There a possible return was also discussed and nothing was ruled out by both parties. Moreover, it is no secret that Vettel and Red Bull are still able to pass through a door very well.
What is also striking is that Alonso has posted a tweet in which he says to Vettel: "Together soon". The Spaniard makes his appearance in the pinnacle motor racing in 2021 and Vettel has no seat for that year for the time being. Possibly that is now a thing of the past. In addition to a return to Red Bull, what is also possible is a transfer to Mercedes or Racing Point. The latter option seems to be stopping in Formula 1. What do you think the news will be?
