Marko frustrated with pace as Red Bull settle for P3 and P4 in Austria
Red Bull Racing had to do with P3 and P4 in Austria as they were way off the pace of Mercedes. The first points of the season are in, but that's all there is to it and Helmut Marko was frustrated with the outcome.
Dissatisfaction from Marko
Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko was unhappy following the Styrian Grand Prix. In a conversation with Sky Deutschland he said: "We saw that we couldn't keep up with the Mercedes engine. We lose considerably on the straight. You've seen Perez plow through the field with the Mercedes engine."
"And then there were the damages to Max's car, the front and rear wings. That put us offside from Valtteri Bottas," the Austrian explains.
More chances at the Hungaroring
Marko does expect improvement at the Hungaroring next week: "The order of curves and the layout of the track (is more to our advantage). It's practically only the start-finish where it's straight and it's not very long either. It should be better for us there. Besides, it's pretty hot in Budapest, as you know. So we can hope for a better result," Marko said.
