World Championship standings: Norris maintains top 3 spot, Verstappen behind Perez
- GPblog.com
After only two Grands Prix a World Championship stand doesn't say much, of course, but a separation is already starting to emerge. The two Mercedes drivers are the only ones who have scored well in both races and therefore seem to be heading for a duel.
Only Mercedes-duo scores well twice
The only other driver who also managed to score quite a few points in both races is Lando Norris. He is therefore rewarded with maintaining his third place. In both races he owes a large part of those points to a great final sprint in the final laps.
Thanks to his third place today Max Verstappen appears in sixth place in the championship, just behind Sergio Perez. Furthermore the paltry point of Sebastian Vettel stands out of course. Of all the drivers his season start has been by far the most dramatic.
