Christian Horner has indicated to look with interest at the protest that Renault is conducting against Racing Point. According to the Red Bull team boss, a lot depends on the final decision.

That's what the 46-year-old Englishman says in conversation with Speedweek. Racing Point is under fire because the RP20 is said to be too similar to last year's Mercedes. With that car Lewis Hamilton captured the world title at the time.  "We are of course following this with interest, because the result of this analysis will determine the strategy for several teams for next year. A lot depends on it. And it would be better for all teams if the FIA makes a decision as soon as possible".

Irregular

The regulators of the FIA have announced to deal with the protest and look at the Racing Point car. The brake openings would be too similar to the 2019 Mercedes. Renault believes that Racing Point is making irregular use of the current RP20 and hopes that the FIA will intervene by protesting.
