With a seventh place in qualifying, Max Verstappen did not achieve the result he had hoped for. After the two races in Austria where he managed to reach the podium once, the Dutchman headed for the Hungaroring with hope, but it soon became clear that Red Bull Racing has a lot of problems with the balance of the car.

Verstappen told the German RTL that he is anything but satisfied with the result. "The whole weekend didn't work. We're really too slow, very bad," the Dutchman explains. Not only was Verstappen slower than expected, but also his teammate Alex Albon didn't get a good result, he couldn't get through Q3.

Goal is points on Sunday

"Of course we're not the fastest when it comes to pure speed, but you have to look at the results in general. It's really been a long time since we've been as slow as today."

Verstappen is clearly not happy with his result, but already has his focus on tomorrow's race. The Dutchman looks forward to attacking the drivers of Ferrari and Racing Point, although he won't be taking any risks.

"The goal now is to get points on Sunday. It's been a long time since we have been so slow, but it is what it is," the Dutchman concluded.
