Horner: "In certain conditions, the car is behaving as expected"

Red Bull Racing has been struggling with balance problems all season. During the winter tests Max Verstappen already stood out because of his many spins. In all attempts to do something about it, this problem seems to have only gotten worse, with the race weekend in Hungary as the low point.
Christian Horner, however, thinks that last weekend has been useful. They tried some things that obviously didn't work and the collected data, they can use it for a solution towards Silverstone. To GPblog.com Horner explains a bit more specifically what is wrong with the RB16.
The RB16 is fundamentally a good car
"I think we've got something misbehaving aerodynamically, it's obviously a matter of understanding that and addressing that. In certain conditions, the car is behaving as expected. We need to understand that, and make sure that we're achieving what it should be doing, which hasn't been the case."
Horner thinks the team collected a lot of useful data during the weekend in Hungary to solve this problem. He won't give up the fight with Mercedes. “It's a significant gap, but it depends on how much performance we can unlock on RB16."
