Alexander Albon has a positive feeling about last Sunday's race in Hungary. The 24-year-old English Thai had a difficult run-up to the race, but recovered well and eventually took fifth place.
"I can't say it was an easy week, but I'm very proud of the course of the race," Albon says on his Instagramaccount. "From P13 to P5 was probably the best we could do." Albon also takes the opportunity to thank his team. "If this was a bad weekend, there's still plenty to be optimistic about."
Fifth place in the World Cup
Albon currently occupies fifth place in the world championship with 22 points, as much as Sergio Pérez. The driver of Red Bull will have to put up with Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, team mate Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. Albon has been riding for Red Bull since 2019. Previously he was under contract with Toro Rosso, where he made his Formula 1 debut in 2019.
