GP China guaranteed until 2025 with new contract

The Grand Prix of China will in all probability remain on the agenda at least until 2025. The race was cancelled this year because of the coronavirus, but was guaranteed to be ridden in the next four years.
That's what RaceFans says. Formula 1 is in talks with the Shanghai International Circuit and is close to a new five-year commitment. The agreement is expected to compensate for the costs of losing this year's race.
Since 2004
Initially the race was scheduled to take place in China on the 19th of April 2020, but the global coronavirus outbreak took the race off the calendar. It would be the seventeenth edition on the circuit. Since 2004, the Formula 1 Circus has been travelling to Shanghai every year. Last year Lewis Hamilton took off with the victory in China. Max Verstappen finished in fourth place with his Red Bull.
