Hamilton got new energy: "I'll see myself driving in F1 for another three years"

After the lockdown Lewis Hamilton says he has found renewed energy in the sport. The six-time world champion is therefore considering continuing his F1 career for a long time, if possible.
Hamilton's contract with Mercedes expires at the end of this year. The miracle duo will not just say goodbye to each other. Although talks between the two parties are in full swing, no plan has yet been drawn up for the coming years.
However, Hamilton does not rule out that he will be admired in Formula 1 for some years to come. The corona-lockdown period made him realize a lot and brought him renewed energy. Racingfans quotes the Brit: "Of course I can't guarantee anything, but I plan to be here [Silverstone, ed.] next year as well. That is my goal. Hopefully we will be able to race with fans again."
Longer F1 career for Hamilton by Covid-19
"It's not quite clear to me how much longer I can go on. I have to say that the Covid lockdown, although it was negative in many ways, still gave me a lot of life and energy. I was able to occupy myself with other things a lot. It was sort of a breathing space. It gave me new energy to possibly go on longer."
To be more precise, Hamilton will still see himself in F1 in the next two or three years. For the six-time world champion, it is especially important that he can continue to ride at his maximum. "I'll see myself in F1 for at least another three years."
