Christian Horner admitted at the press conference that he lowered the RB16's power during the first free practice in Great Britain. The Red Bull team took several components to Silverstone to see how the car could be better.

"There are over sixty sensors on the car that collect data on the chassis," Red Bull's team boss said in conversation with Channel 4. "These are sent to us at the pit wall, but also to the factory located in Milton Keynes. At the moment we have reduced the power compared to what we want to have on Saturday and during the race. Power is an important part on this circuit, as large parts here are full throttle".
