Ocon about Verstappen during FP1: "He always does that."
- GPblog.com
During the first free practice Esteban Ocon hit Max Verstappen hard, who, according to the Renault rider, blocked him in the corner. The Frenchman and Dutchman don't have a very good relationship anyway.
"He's in the middle of the corner!", Ocon shouted in amazement at the onboard radio. Verstappen would have blocked the Frenchman between turns three and four. His team reacted with a cynical tone about the action of Verstappen. "He always does that." Ocon finished the first free practice session in Great Britain in seventh place, more than a second behind Max Verstappen.

In the past Ocon and Verstappen had often been at odds with each other. For example, Ocon knocked the Dutchman off the track in Brazil in 2018, while Verstappen was the leader in the race at that time. Afterwards, the ferocious Verstappen sought out his colleague in the pits, which led to some pushing.
