Charles Leclerc believes that he got the best out of his car during qualifying at Silverstone. On Sunday the Monegasque will start on the second row of the grid in fourth position next to Max Verstappen.

Medium tyres for Leclerc

"I'm very happy today. I didn't expect to start P4 in tomorrow's race, especially not on the medium tyres. We tried, but we weren't very confident about ourselves. And to make it work was very nice and it looks good for tomorrow's race," said Leclerc to Sky Sports F1.

"We're having a hard time with the race speed. I think we have the pace ourselves, but we are destroying the tyres way too fast compared to the others. So starting on the mediums will help us a lot," continues the Ferrari driver.

Fighting with the balance

"It's already challenging to drive a Formula 1 car without wind, because Maggots and Becketts is now bizarrely fast. Now with the wind. FP3 and qualifying the wind was constant, but as of yesterday it has changed completely and the balance of the car changes completely. So you have to adjust quickly," the Monegasque ends.
