Max Verstappen states that his team experimented a bit with the RB16 at Silverstone. However, the Dutchman doesn't dare to say to what extent that will save time. However, Verstappen predicts that achieving a third place in qualifying will not be as easy as it might seem.

"We tried a few things with the car," says Verstappen in his employer's review. The Red Bull Racing driver states that there are still two free practice sessions to analyse. "I think some were really decent but we will of course have to go through it properly tonight and see tomorrow."

According to the 22-year old rider from Limburg it could be exciting on Saturday, but in the race itself it will be quite one-sided. "I think it could be quite close in qualifying with the group behind but then in the race it could be quite lonely again. I guess you will see a lot of two stop strategies in the race but I don’t expect the change in tyres to really set the order any differently," Verstappen said.

Work to be done for Albon

Teammate Alexander Albon finished in sixth and eleventh place during practice. The 24-year old driver says that there are still steps to be taken. "We’re making progress session by session in terms of trying to get what I want from the car and now we just need to do our homework tonight to come back stronger tomorrow. It was a pretty straightforward day and we played around with a few things to see what helped and what didn’t", the British Thai concludes.
