Marko optimistic: "Convinced that both drivers can achieve Q3"

For Red Bull Racing, qualifying for Silverstone's second Grand Prix will be hugely important. The team's goal is to get both cars to the front of the grid, which would be an improvement over a week earlier. Alex Albon dropped out during the second part of qualifying. For today's qualifying session Helmut Marko also hopes the team will perform better.
The practice sessions looked good for Red Bull and that's why Marko also expects a good qualfying session, he explains to Sky Sports' camera. "So far we are performing pretty good. The most important thing now is the choice of tyre during qualifying". Due to the high wear and tear at Silverstone and the softer tyres Pirelli is bringing along, the tyres are a problem with the teams.
Confidence in Albon
"The softest tyre is really no tyre at all for the race. We need to take a good look at Mercedes and see if we can define an alternative strategy". The performance of his drivers is extremely important around the team's strategy. Last week Albon had trouble catching up in midfield, so he was stuck in midfield for a long time.
Marko expects the Thai to perform better in qualifying. "I'm convinced Albon will be able to come to the third session of qualifying today." The latest developments in qualifying can be followed in GPblog's live blog.
