Abiteboul wants clarity from the FIA: ''Until then, we cannot rest''

Racing Point has received a penalty after violating the sporting regulations, but the competition doesn't stop there. Renault and Ferrari have gone into protest against Racing Point and Cyril Abiteboul hopes for more clarity.
''From the beginning, we've been looking for answers. It's not about the battle between teams or team bosses, but answers to an unclear situation. We want it to be crystal clear what is allowed and what is not. The rules need to be adjusted for that," said Abiteboul according to Motorsport.com.

It's not the first time Abiteboul has talked about the Racing Point case. Earlier, Renault's team boss said he thought the Racing Point was too lightly punished. Where Renault were disqualified after violating the sporting regulations, Racing Point now received 'only' fifteen points and a fine of 400,000 euros.
''We feel that the FIA is indeed investigating this to the bottom. Until then, however, we cannot rest. We assume that the FIA will indicate again that this is a sport for constructors and that you can't just buy your own car together. We just want clarity about that now."
