The management of Formula 1 has agreed to change the rules on security measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, announced today. Teams will be able to go to the track with more people from the Italian Grand Prix.
Until now, teams were allowed to have a maximum of 80 people on the track, with no more than 60 people directly involved in working on the cars. The remaining 20 staff consisted of drivers, team management, PR and medical staff. From the Italian Grand Prix onwards, the teams were allowed to bring 10 additional staff members with them. The increase means that the teams can bring their own catering and hospitality services during the upcoming races in Italy, Russia, Germany, Portugal and Turkey.
