The 2020 calendar contains many new races this year and also many tracks that return to the calendar. One of these circuits is the circuit in Istanbul, where it was still in the era of Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull Racing the last time we raced there. Max Verstappen has expressed his satisfaction with the job Formula 1 have done getting these races together.
For Max Verstappen, the addition of Turkey is a good one. "It's a nice circuit, so I'm certainly looking forward to it," Verstappen said at Red Bull's press conference. "I've already been on some of those circuits."
Good work by FOM
Verstappen has good words left for FOM, which eventually managed to produce a good season despite the struggles the whole world of sport has faced. "I think they ended up producing a nice season with seventeen races instead of 22."
It was a lot of adjustment for F1, which not only had a very late start to the season, but also had to finish a lot of races in a limited number of weeks. Verstappen explained that as a driver you just have to get on with the adjustments. "You just have to accept it and try to get the best out of the situation. That has always been the case in Formula 1, so that's nothing new."
