The Belgian Grand Prix was shaken early on by a safety car due to a crash of Antonio Giovinazzi and George Russell. For Red Bull Racing it was just in time, as both drivers went in for new tyres. According to Christian Horner, it is especially important to get points in the race and not to suffer any damage.

"It will be interesting to see how the race continues from here. It is very important that we do not damage the tyres now. The old set that went through all the debris seemed to be all right, so we don't have too many worries," Horner explains to Sky Sports. Alex Albon still has some trouble with the traffic, while Max Verstappen seems to be staying close to Mercedes.

Different from Friday

According to Horner, it's because of a difference in temperature on Fridays. "The tyres react differently than on Friday. We need to see how we proceed from here. It is now especially important to see how this decision will work out", said Horner during the GP of Belgium.
