Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto expects it to be another tough qualifying session in Italy. He does say the team is in better shape than it was in Belgium a week ago.

"My first thought after yesterday is that we had a challenging start to a weekend. We've seen the lap times and the cars are close together. Qualifying is going to be hot, so the third free practice session is going to be important to train, prepare, understand the slipstream and make sure the drivers are ready", said Binotto at Sky Sports F1.

Ideal distance

"We believe you're too close to the car in front when you're under three seconds behind him. Ideally, that would be four to five seconds", said the team boss about the gap for the right slipstream during qualifying.

Binotto said it was going to be difficult to reach Q3. "I think we have a better chance than we have in Belgium, but we know this track is not right for our car."
