Daniel Ricciardo had to stop the third free practice early due to a problem with his Renault. After a fast lap, he fell silent and caused a red flag at Monza. The team expects to have solved the problems before qualifying.
Problem Ricciardo
According to Renault's own Twitter account, it is a broken fuel pump. So the damage doesn't seem to be too bad and Ricciardo should be able to start qualifying at 15:00.
Renault was very fast at Monza on Saturday. Ricciardo finished the session fourth, while customer team McLaren finished the morning session second and third.
Update on Daniel’s car: Suspected fuel pump failure. It’s a replaceable part and he should be ready for Qualifying.#RSspirit #ItalianGP
