Saward about Gasly returning to Red Bull: "Don't do it, that's where Verstappen is

Pierre Gasly is currently living on cloud nine. The Frenchman was brought back to AlphaTauri a year ago but has achieved his first victory in Formula 1. Joe Saward, however, warns the Frenchman for a return to Red Bull Racing.
In the Red Bull B team, Gasly crossed the line first at the Monza Grand Prix, which Vettel was the last driver to manage back in 2008. Where Alexander Albon is still waiting for his first podium, the returning AlphaTauri rider has already taken the podium twice. He finished second in Brazil last year, and last Sunday he was even able to raise the biggest cup. An unexpected big success.
Return after Red Bull
Where the relegated driver of Red Bull shines, the promoted driver has had a hard time. That's why the discussion about the distribution of seats at Red Bull and AlphaTauri is reigniting. Gasly should go back to Red Bull and Albon the reverse route. Journalist Joe Saward thinks differently. In the podcast The Missed Apex he discusses the issue.
The Englishman foresees a problem for Gasly if he could return to the A-team: Max Verstappen. "If you have to compete against Verstappen, you have a problem". According to the journalist, no driver should take the seat next to the Dutchman.
Second problem for Gasly
In addition to being Max Verstappen's teammate, Saward sees another problem in the emotions of Gasly. According to the journalist the Frenchman is not yet stable enough: "Gasly has always been very fast but also a bit 'unstable'. You also saw that in Monza when he didn't know what to do with himself after the victory", Saward concludes.
