Albon glad with Mugello fans: "Got tired of those same people in the paddock!"

Alexander Albon is not in good shape in the championship after eight races. Pierre Gasly, the man he replaced last year at Red Bull Racing, has now taken two podiums, one of which is a victory, but Albon has never been on the podium. The Thai hopes to change that and looks ahead to Mugello.
Mugello track well suited for Red Bull
The F1 circus is forced to travel through the corona virus to the Mugello circuit for its second consecutive race in Italy. For many teams and drivers this will be their first race on the circuit. In a Red Bull press statement Albon takes off:
"For the team it's hard to say, but I think it could be a good track for us. Because the track is new on the F1 calendar and many are coming here for the first time, experience and knowledge won't play such a big role".
First three-stop?
Like his team mate Max Verstappen, Albon expects the tyres to wear out a lot in Tuscany. Overtaking will be difficult so most of the action will take place in turn 1. "With those high speeds there we will see a lot of tyre wear. It can therefore be an interesting race from a strategic point of view with possibly two or three pit stops".
At Mugello the first spectators of the season will also be admitted. Albon jokingly closes his statement: "It will be fun to see some new faces around the track again. I am getting a little tired of the same people in the paddock every time!"
