According to Red Bull Racing, tyre wear will play an important role at Mugello

In recent weeks, we have seen that Mercedes is currently superior, but also has an Achilles heel. In warm conditions, the W11 is more likely to suffer from tyre wear than Red Bull Racing, for example. And let that team now predict that this will play a role next weekend.
Formula 1 will race this week for the first time on the circuit of Mugello. Several teams have tested it in the past, but partly because they did not take this into account before the season, they still know relatively little about this circuit. One of the things Red Bull does know is that it will be relatively tough for the tyres.
Warm and sunny on Mugello
"Mugello is notorious for its abrasive asphalt, so if it is very hot this weekend, the tyres are going to take a beating. Pirelli will bring their strongest rubber to deal with that - but the degradation can still be high," said Gianpiero Lambiase in his preview at RedBull.com.
And it will certainly be warm. According to current predictions it will be 33 degrees on Sunday during the race. Lambiase therefore hopes that the whole weekend will be warm, so that they can prepare for this well. That wish seems to come true. Also on Friday and Saturday it is above 30 degrees and on top of that all days are sunny.
