Horner: 'We are getting more and more insight into the problems'

Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner says the team's car often struggles on circuits where little downforce is needed. At Monza, this also proved to be the case, as Red Bull didn't score any points. Max Verstappen retired and Alexander Albon had a bad race.
After a disappointing Italian Grand Prix, Horner thinks Mugello is better for the RB16. But he acknowledges that Mercedes are strong on almost every circuit. "Have we had all our weak circuits now? I hope so. But I don't know and Mercedes is strong on every circuit", says Horner at Motorsport.com.
Poor performance at Monza
The British team boss remains honest and admits that Red Bull didn't perform well at Monza. "Let me say first of all that at Monza we weren't at all as competitive as we wanted to be. And of course, we have had more problems with our car this year. Expectations were indeed high. Despite the fact that we are second in the championship, already have a victory in our pocket and five further podium finishes, it is never good enough."
"The whole team is working very hard to solve the current problems, all the more so because this will also be the basis for next year. We are getting more and more insight into the problems and I can assure you that we are really doing everything we can to solve those problems in the second half of the season", Horner concludes.
