Ferrari sinks further and further away: ''This is a disaster for the team''

The anniversary race in Tuscany was not the party Ferrari had hoped for. In fact, the 1000th race was a disaster, according to Davide Valsecchi, who sees major problems with the Italian team.
It was supposed to be such a nice party, but after the double elimination at Monza and the promise that things would get better at Mugello, it actually only got worse for Ferrari. With a unique livery, unique helmets and even a red Safety Car, Ferrari was pretty embarrassed on their own circuit.
Ferrari is sinking further and further away
''Everyone here in Italy is pushing for Ferrari, but the only Italian team that can win is AlphaTauri. It is a disaster for Ferrari. With Sebastian Vettel you have a driver who doesn't perform and your other driver is one of the best talents of the last 20 years, but your car is too slow and you have mechanical problems too often'', says the Italian racing driver.
The former GP2 champion explains in the F1 Nation Podcast how people look at it in Italy. ''At first the situation seemed to be not too bad with some good performance from Leclerc, but when they said they would be closer after abolishing Party Mode, it was quite disappointing. Then things would get better at Mugello, but it was just awful'', concludes Valsecchi.
