Stewards response: Hamilton doesn't receive a penalty after cutting turn two
After a dominant pole position, Lewis Hamilton had to report to the stewards. The Mercedes driver cut the second corner and then failed to follow the FIA guidelines on returning to the track.
Hamilton will maintain his pole position after consultation with the stewards. Despite the fact that the six-time world champion cut the corner, he doesn't receive a heavy punishment. Hamilton's number of pole positions remains at 96.
