Next Friday Mick Schumacher will make his official debut in Formula 1. The young German driver is currently leading the F2 Championship and for Ferrari this is reason enough to give Michael Schumacher's son a chance in F1. For Alfa Romeo he will be testing on Friday morning.

"The step from F2 to F1 will be the biggest step in my life so far, especially if you look at the times. There is more than ten seconds difference between the two series. Moreover, the preparation is a lot more intense. The days are longer and the work is much more divided between the team members. That also means that you work with a lot more individual people," Schumacher explains in an interview with RTL.

Not the first test

It is not the first test that Schumacher is going to do with Alfa Romeo, because on 3 April he was already allowed to get into the car in Bahrain. "That is certainly going to help. I know the team and the people, so at least that's something I don't have to get used to. The only thing I need to get used to is the car and the driving".

Schumacher recognises the importance of making a positive impression now. "It is the first time that we are really driving for all eyes, for all team bosses and all CEOs. I will try to do my best and I will make sure that I can get the most out of myself", concludes Schumacher.
