Mick Schumacher will make his official debut in Formula 1 on Friday during the first free practice session for the Eifel Grand Prix. Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc have some nice words for their Ferrari colleague.

Difficult debut in the rain

Michael Schumacher's son will make his F1 debut this weekend. After having crossed the track several times in his father's car, Mick will now make his official debut during a session. There are also rumours that his contract for 2021 will be announced on Friday, but there is as yet no official report from Alfa Romeo about this.

''If you look at the circumstances this is not the most easy debut, but I talked to him and every time he could try a new car it was in the rain. It will be a dangerous session for him, but he has nothing to prove. He already proved everything in the F2 and he will do a good job on Friday," said Leclerc according to Autosport.com.

Vettel races again with a Schumacher

Sebastian Vettel always looked up to Mick's father and is sure he can race against Mick in Formula 1 in 2021. ''He deserves the chance he gets on Friday and hopefully we'll see him not only on Friday, but also on another Friday this season. Then maybe he can also get a seat for 2021. At least that's what I hope for him.

''Of course he has a great season. He is at the top of the Formula 2 championship. He's a great kid, I get on very well with him and I'm sure he'll come a long way. This is probably just the beginning of everything," the four-time world champion concluded.
