Vettel is realistic: 'That was clearly too risky'

Sebastian Vettel left the circuit again on Sunday without having scored any points. The German finished in eleventh place. Afterwards he was realistic about what it was all about.
The story of Sebastian Vettel this season is well known. The German doesn't know how to get in shape and scores only sporadic points. However, his teammate Charles Leclerc often succeeds. Also during qualifying the Monegask invariably achieves a better result than his much more experienced teammate. How it is possible that Leclerc succeeds and Vettel doesn't is a mystery.
Too much risk
So last weekend he finished in eleventh position, behind Antonio Giovinazzi of Alfa Romeo. During the race he was spinning on the same Giovinazzi when he failed to catch up. This forced him to go in for new tyres. "I tried to come forward and just took too much risk. When I look back on it it was clearly too risky", he says to Motorsport.com.
After that, the four-time world champion failed to make up for his mistake. "Then I got into traffic, it was difficult to make progress. We had more speed than we ended up with, I think. This was a bad race. The points are very important now. I am looking forward to the next races, I have never been to Portimao and Imola".
