Red Bull still have a lot to decide for 2021. The second seat alongside Max Verstappen has not yet been decided and both places are still available at Alpha Tauri. A lot depends on the performance of Alexander Albon .

It looks increasingly likely that Red Bull will have to choose a replacement if they really want to compete for the title. According to Kees van de Grint, however, there is currently no one who can optimally fulfill the role of the second driver.

"It doesn't really matter, there's nothing that can stand up against Verstappen," said the former tyre specialist on Slipstream. "Nico is not getting any better, he has a certain level. I would be looking for a new talent anyway. Maybe it's too late for that now, but then maybe you should shop at another team, where there is a talent under contract."

According to Van de Grint, the Red Bull Racing car is not nearly as good as Verstappen makes it look. In his view, choosing an experienced driver is not the best option for the future, but it could be a temporary solution. "But perhaps Hülkenberg is a good choice for that one year, because next year will be crucial"
