Antonio Felix Da Costa is pleased with Max Verstappen. The Portuguese Formula E champion is also happy that the royal class of motor racing has once again settled in his Portugal.

In an interview with dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Da Costa shows how much respect he has for the Dutchman. They have a good bond, according to the Portuguese. When the sport came to a standstill in the spring due to the corona crisis, both drivers did an interview session together on Instagram.

No celebrity

"I have seen a lot of drivers who finally made it to Formula 1. Guests that I respected or with whom I was even friends. But then, once they drove in Formula 1, they thought in their minds that they were some kind of celebrity. Then they wouldn't have time for others. Max doesn't have that at all. He is one of the most coveted drivers, but he always answers my messages, bells, or whatever," the 29-year-old Portuguese says.

He also thinks the drivers are going to have a great weekend at Portimao. "It is a circuit that will give you a lot of fun. There are a lot of height differences and some corners are completely blind. It's a lot of fun to play with that. You can feel that in your stomach. The qualifying session on Saturday afternoon will be a spectacle", he concludes.
