Honda had a good qualifying session in Imola. All cars with a Honda engine managed to reach Q3. On the second row of the grid are Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly, which means that two Honda engines will start in the top four on Sunday. According to Toyoji Tanabe, Honda is looking forward to the Grand Prix.

"On Saturday morning we had to optimise everything within 90 minutes and in the afternoon it was busy because of qualifying. Everything had to be prepared in a short amount of time, which took a lot of preparation. Even under those conditions, we have all the cars in the top ten, for the first time since last year's Mexican Grand Prix," Honda's top man explains to AutosportWeb

Many chances of victory

With Verstappen and Gasly on P3 and P4 and Alexander Albon and Daniil Kvyat on P6 and P8, Honda has an enormous chance of winning a lot of points in Imola. "We look forward to two Honda engines starting from the second row of the grid tomorrow. In addition, Albon and Kvyat are also starting in promising positions and that promises good results.

"Because we are now in a position where four of our cars could win and we will continue to finish the race well and that both teams will finish with a positive result," concludes Tanabe.
