George Russell has still not got over the fact that he crashed into the wall behind the Safety Car towards the end of the race. The Brit has now even sent a letter to all the Williams staff to apologise. He potentially lost his first F1 points.

Russell has never been beaten by a teammate in Formula 1 on Saturday, but every time there are chances for points, something goes wrong. During the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna the moment was very annoying, because now Russell crashed behind the Safety Car. He wrote a letter to his team to apologise.

Russell through the dust

''There was only one reason why we were in a position to score points and that was because each of you showed 100% commitment and made the car better every week. I really wish I could have kept the car out of the wall so I could have taken a point or two with me'', says the letter that Racefans.net got hold of.

''We are racers and we can't or can't safely drive around here. We have to push boundaries and that will cause disappointment, but the moment I take my foot off the accelerator we'd better stay at home. I really believe we are getting closer and closer and I am sure that once we get to the point, it will happen more often," concludes the Brit.
