Wolff feels the pressure from other teams: 'That will be much harder for us'

The teams have to design a new floor by 2021, but not all teams are paying a lot of attention to this. According to Toto Wolff, many teams will have all focus on the car of 2022.
For 2021, the Formula 1 rules change a little bit. The teams must design a new floor so that the downforce level is lowered and Pirelli tyres can still cope with the pressure in 2021. In 2022, however, the whole new aerodynamic package is planned.
Ferrari have to make a choice
According to Wolff, the change in the rules of the floor won't have much impact on the ranking in Formula 1. ''It may take a second off your time, but I'm not assuming that the ranking will be completely reversed. Maybe we'll see some small changes'', says the Austrian to ORF. Those small changes could be the result of choices made by the teams.
''There will be teams, like Ferrari, that will write off 2021 completely and will be working on the 2022 car from the start. It's a lot harder for us to find the right balance, because of course, we want to win the title again," concludes Wolff. The margin that Mercedes still have on Red Bull, however, still seems sufficient to win the world title in 2021 well before the end of the season.
