Verstappen: We had the wrong solution for the track: "Let's not do that again"

Max Verstappen was the fastest man on the track in both free practice sessions on Friday in Turkey. He couldn't be completely dissatisfied afterwards, but like everyone else, he suffered a lot from a lack of grip.
“Overall it was a pretty positive day for us. The car worked pretty well, so I'm happy with that," Verstappen told Formula1.com about Friday's performance at Istanbul Park. Then he switches to the talk of the day. Did the asphalt improve a bit in the afternoon?
Verstappen expects Mercedes to bounce back on Saturday
“It couldn't have been any worse at the beginning, but we are far from there yet. It's still like driving on ice. Ultimately, it's the same for everyone, so we just have to adapt. I hope it won't rain because then it really becomes like driving on ice. I hope it gets better tomorrow. Mercedes will have their act together again."
According to Verstappen, a meeting must be held about finding a solution to this general lack of grip. For example, the track the night before the practice session was not the best choice and softer tyres do not help in this case either. “Yeah, let's not do that again. You can use softer tyres, but they will wear out much too quickly, so that is not a solution. ”
