Wolff never meets his own expectations: "Losing is a humiliation"

Lewis Hamilton often talks about his past and experiences as a child. According to Toto Wolff, this is an important motivation area for Lewis, but also for Toto and the rest of the team to get the most out of it.
Youth troubles important for Mercedes
''I don't want to say that everyone on this team has been bullied, but for different reasons, me and Lewis have been traumatised from childhood or growing up as a teenager. There were humiliation and the feeling that you were not good enough. That's exactly what you want to beat, and that's why you push more than others,'' says Wolff in an interview with Formula 1.
"Losing is therefore very personal. Losing is a humiliation. It just doesn't live up to my own expectations. I don't care what the rest of it thinks, but it's the standard that I set for myself, but which I never really reach. The balance has to improve for me, certainly in the future," Wolff hints at his future departure as team boss of Mercedes.
