Robert Shwartzman and Antonio Fuoco will be able to participate in Ferrari's young driver tests in Abu Dhabi, the Scuderia have announced on their official website.
This morning, the two drivers were at the Ferrari factory to fit a seat for the SF1000, and on 15 December, two days after the last race of the season, they will be allowed to show their skills in the tests.
For Shwartzman, this will be the first time he has been allowed to test a Formula 1 car. Fuoco is already an expert by experience; he has already tested for Ferrari four times in 2015, 2016 and 2019. “I can’t wait to jump into the 2020 car and get out on track alongside so many of the drivers I’ve been racing against in Formula 2. I plan to enjoy every single minute of this great experience," Shwartzman said.
“It’s an honour to put on the red race suit and drive a Ferrari on track”, says Fuoco. "It's a feeling that is always hard to put into words.” Despite the invitation to test, the two drivers are not sure of a seat in Formula 1 next year.
