"At the moment it’s clear that we don’t have the third or fourth fastest car"

The result of the Turkish Grand Prix increased the tension in the constructors' championship even more. The numbers one (Mercedes) and two (Red Bull Racing) are already clear, but behind them, it is more exciting than ever.
Ferrari are back
For a moment it seemed that Ferrari had to compete with AlphaTauri this season for sixth place in the championship, but due to third and fourth place in Turkey, the Italian team have come forward in the battle for third place. Between the current number three (Racing Point) and Ferrari there are only 24 points.
McLaren team boss Andreas Seidl also sees Ferrari as a contender. "We can't be surprised that a team like Ferrari, with the means at its disposal, has grown during the season. We have never underestimated them, they have two great drivers and of course an excellent infrastructure. So the fact that they are fighting for third place can only be a reality", he said on Motorbox.com. "It is clear that the battle between four teams is for third place."
Chances McLaren
McLaren are currently fourth in the championship, but Seidl is expecting a difficult couple of final races. "At the moment it is clear that we don't have the third or fourth fastest car on the track. It's not that I'm worried, it's just realism".
For the last three races, at least, the goal is clear. "We have to focus on ourselves and make the best of what we have. Our car is competitive, a big step forward from last year, but at the same time our competitors are all very strong. We hope to stay in the game until the last race," Siedl said.
