Bottas is disappointed after qualifying: 'I just don't know where he is faster'
Valtteri Bottas sat in P3 for the majority of qualifying, behind both Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. But in the end the Finn managed to finish second after a strong lap in the second run of Q3. Bottas himself had expected a lot more from qualifying.
"I don't know where he was faster, that's also the problem. It felt very good, but the lap time doesn't work out in the end. That's really weird. I can't say much about it at the moment. It didn't feel like there was a problem and the lap just felt pretty good. There are some little things here and there, but luckily we made it to the front row of the grid with Mercedes," Bottas explained after qualifying.
"I don't think there is an underlying problem. The performance is there in the car and the speed in the long term looks good. I am looking forward to tomorrow," the Finn concluded.
