Mick Schumacher will make his Formula 1 debut for Haas in 2021, but he will still be part of the Ferrari Academy. At Ferrari, they are very proud of his debut and are looking forward to seeing how he will perform in Formula 1.

Schumacher is destined for Ferrari and if he does a good job for Haas that is, of course, logical. His father won five world titles with the Italian team and conquered one record after another. Mick makes his own attempt to follow in those footsteps and was given the opportunity within Ferrari's set up. Mattia Binotto is proud, but also makes it clear that, even at Haas, he is still part of the Ferrari programme.

Schumacher still from Ferrari

''We are pleased to announce that Mick Schumacher will make his Formula 1 debut for the Haas F1 team next season. The American team has a strong relationship with Scuderia Ferrari and Mick, a talented young man, will now be able to make steady progress with the team, while still being supported by the FDA (Ferrari Driver Academy), as has been the case in recent years," Binotto said in the statement.

''He has been working with Ferrari for a long time and we will continue to monitor his progress, both as a driver and as a person. Mick's arrival in Formula 1 is further proof of the effectiveness of the FDA in helping young drivers their progress and we cannot wait to see him behind the wheel, starting with the first session of free practice in Abu Dhabi and the at the Young Driver Test on 15 December," concludes the team boss from Ferrari.
