Christian Horner is already looking forward to 2021, with which Red Bull Racing are finally hoping to compete for the world title. The last race in Abu Dhabi was therefore a positive finale to a difficult 2020 for Red Bull.
Horner looks forward to 2021
Red Bull Racing had expected much more from 2020. The race stable finally hoped to be a real challenger for Mercedes this season, but again the Germans proved to be far too strong. After Max Verstappen's victory in Abu Dhabi there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel, but are Red Bull cheering too soon?
''Winter will be very short because we will be ready a week before Christmas, but we will test again in February. As for the goal of finishing second in the 2020 championship, we are in a void between Mercedes and midfield," Horner stated in his column for Red Bull.

''The goal is to give Mercedes a bigger challenge. They have done a great job this year and it is to their credit that they have achieved this, but we are taking a lot of the last three or four races with us to next year because we have quite a bit of momentum that we can take with us now. While we have just finished racing, I look forward to continuing the lessons we have learned this season in 2021.''
Red Bull's team boss also hopes that the situation will return to normal in 2021. He missed the fans in Abu Dhabi and would like to see them back around the track in 2021. ''I also hope that we can return to a normal situation. Racing in Abu Dhabi without fans was rather strange. It usually has such a lively atmosphere, but we really missed that this year."
