Pierre Gasly has excelled at Alpha Tauri since Red Bull decided to drop him a season and a half ago. Since then he has picked up two podiums including a race win. He believes he would have a chance to compete with Max Verstappen if they were in the same car.

Would Gasly do better in a Red Bull now?

The question is how he would do it at this stage in the Red Bull. Would he do better opposite Max Verstappen?

"I think I would have a chance in the same car. But it's much more complicated than that. As I've shown this year I can do very well if I have the right car. I will continue to give everything to get that chance because my goal is to become a world champion. That's what I will continue to work for," Gasly said in an interview with Auto, Motor und Sport.

He thinks he's become a better driver, partly because of what he's learned in his time at Red Bull Racing. "I was in Formula 1 in my second year then, and now I'm doing much better. Objectively, I am a better driver. I am more constant and have more experience, and in 2021 I expect to be even better. But there are still a lot of areas I can improve," added Gasly.
