Internet reacts furiously to Haas' statement: 'Never been so disappointed'
- GPblog.com
The news that Mazepin will be behind the wheel at Haas next season has sparked some furious comments from fans and journalists. In their view, the explanation given by Haas is by no means enough to bring this matter to a conclusion.
Matt Gallagher, who started the #WeSayNoToMazepin, says he has never been so disappointed in Formula 1.
I’ve never been so disappointed in the sport I truly love.

Let’s get this shit trending.
Hugely disappointing from @HaasF1Team. A statement that echoes purely of financial gain - and condones the actions of a cretin, who sexually assaulted someone, punched a competitor in the face and has questionable race skills.#WeSayNoToMazepin #F1PP pic.twitter.com/iHuE4YDPrC

FIA and F1 should also be held responsible
Chris Medland, journalist at Racer.com, believes that not only should the finger be pointed at Haas, but also holds the FIA and Formula 1 responsible. He is supported by his colleagues Luke Smith and Thomas Maher.
I must admit I am also stunned at the lack of action or proper statement from @F1 and the @FIA.

Mazepin is bringing their sport into disrepute and all they've said so far is: 'That's a problem for Haas, not us'. #F1
Let’s not forget... Daniel Abt lost his seat in real life in #FormulaE because he cheated at a computer game.

And yet here we are in #F1 with virtually no public stance apart from “yeah, we agree with Haas guys”.
The best way to put it. https://t.co/SdS1PewacT
